Contrary to popular belief, most freelance writers don’t roll out of bed at noon, work in PJs and bunny slippers or write only when inspired.  Okay, so sometimes we work in our PJs.  Okay, Okay, we write in bunny slippers sometimes too;  however, I’m at my desk at 6:00 a.m. and other writers I know are at their desks even earlier than that.

If you’re thinking of freelance writing as a career then you better not be wearing rose- colored glasses. When you freelance, there are no paid sick days, vacations or holidays:  if you’re not working, you’re not making money.
